Mmmmmm, Power!
Time for the obligatory 2 week post. ( That's supposed to be a joke about how much I neglect my blog... )
Been pretty busy with work and training. That's pretty much been my M.O. Though I do have a social life outside of those too. Blog comes last.
Training with power data is interesting. I can really see now what I'm doing when I blast up a hill and then am a soggy noodle at the top. Well duh, I just pushed 450 watts to climb it! Better to back off, climb at 300 watts, and have something left at the top. Huge impact on the ability to pace effort. I can definitely see why so many people swear by it. Here's a fun little example of one of my rides this week:
Fun stuff. :)
In other news, my first race ( triathlon ) for 2006 is coming up April 30th! Only 2 weeks to go! I'm so excited for this race. I'm training to peak for it, so I'm hoping that correlates to a kick ass race. Based on what I'm doing in training at the moment, I should be able to blow away last years race. However it plays out, it's going to kick ass.

Very very cool. Your speed and cadence look perfectly even! Those two giant power spikes - is that some weird glitch? Anyway, I'm am seriously looking into getting a powermeter now. :)
