Double Whammy
Well, I'm back, I survived my ski vacation. Barely. :) Skied some crazy stuff. Double blacks, double black EX. Had one crazy spill where I slid all the way down a really steep bowl. Oops. Fortunately there were no trees before I finally slid to a stop, because I was completely helpless.
This weekend is fun. I ran a 15k trail race this morning. I've got a 1/2 marathon tomorrow morning. Legs should be well and done by Monday. Ohhh yeah. This will put me at 60 miles running for the month. Another solid month of training.
I got some new toys this past week too. I picked up a Powertap Pro built into a training wheel for the bike. Starting to play with that now, figuring out my power/HR zones. My other toy isn't here yet, but it's a set of Zipp 404's built around a Powertap SL hub, so that I can use power data when I race too. Not to mention the Zipps will be hella faster than my big heavy training wheelset.
A litttle over a month until St. Anthony's, which kicks off the first race of the Tri season for me. It's all downhill from there until Ironman Wisconsin in September. Since IM races sell out so fast, I'm going to have to decide what races I want to do in 2007 before I even finish my first IM. After talking it over with my coach and some of my more crazy tri-friends, I'm going to do two IM's next year. Ironman CdA and Ironman FL. Ohhh yeah. :)
One of these years I'm going to take on an ultramarathon. 50k first. Or maybe just go straight to the 50 miler. :) We'll see. My first goal is to qualify for the big show in Kona before I turn 35. I'll need to get into about 10hr shape thanks to my uber-age group, but I've got 4 more years after this one to do it. It's definitely doable, if I can make the time comittment.

Your race schedule makes my head hurt! That's... a lot of race distance.
